It has been a while since I've added any spots to check out in NYC, so here's one to add to the list: Daiso. Daiso is often called "the Japanese dollar store" and has 2,800 stores in Japan and over 4,000 stores worldwide. Their first ever East Coast store had their grand opening last Friday, March 8, 2019. It is located in Flushing's Skyview Center (40-24 College Point Boulevard, 2nd floor). Apparently Daiso gave out goodie bags for the first 100 customers on Friday, March 8th and Saturday, March 9th. I was just reading an article about the opening here, which mentions
A week ago, I posted my video "10 ways I practice self-love" on YouTube. The footage was taken last year. As a huge self-love advocate, I feel like I, myself, really need some of these reminders I spoke about in the video right now. Why did I post the video a year later? I was too busy attacking how poorly shot the footage was, how my eyeliner was off, and how I was talking while eating my hair thanks to the wind. And why the huge hiatus from blogging? I actually wouldn't mind relocating to Toronto. It's a great city- a friendlier, cleaner version of New York City. I've always wanted to do videos like this, so I decided to give it a try. Months ago when I was impatiently awaiting the release of the movie Crazy Rich Asians, I did not expect for the movie to affect me this much. When I finally watched Crazy Rich Asians and the Netflix film To All the Boys I've Loved Before, I knew that both films have done just that. Crazy Rich Asians is a romantic comedy-drama that tells the story of Rachel, an NYU professor who accompanies her boyfriend to his best friend's wedding in Singapore and learns that he's the son of the richest family on the island and To All the Boys I've
My go-to quick fun fact has been about kickboxing. Kickboxing, you heard right. It sounds intense and badass because it is! Before I started my first class ever back in 2016, my stomach was in knots. I was watching the previous class do the 15-minute warm up exercises and died inside. Oh shoot, I can't do that!!! That's...what, oh my goodness...I'm going to pass out! I was sloppy and took a huge hiatus from kickboxing from November 2017 to middle of May 2018 because, well, life happened. Also, when you don't go for that long, you have trouble convincing yourself that
